Hi. I am an amateur birder and photographer. Our community has a wonderful diversity of birds. Since early March, I have recorded 78 species of birds and have taken many photos. I have uploaded my checklists and photos to a public site called eBird.org. It is run by the Cornell Ornithology Lab. (There is a mobile app available.)

My checklists and photos can be viewed here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L8071798?yr=all&m=

If you click on the photo icon you can see my most recent pictures. If you click on the “Illustrated Checklist” tab you can scroll through all of my pictures. See sample extract of web page attached. I hope you enjoy. I invite fellow like minded residents to upload their checklists. Please let me know if you have any questions. Kind Regards,

I’ve recently seen on TV news stories about communities where the residents are placing Teddy bears/stuffed animals in their windows to provide objects for scavenger hunts. Here’s a news item from Tampa:

I think that this is something that we could do here. Check on Torcello Ct!!

I am making cloth masks — free of charge — for anyone who would like one.

I am making cloth masks — free of charge — for anyone who would like one. They are not sized individually so I can’t promise a “perfect fit.” However, I have tweaked the Olsen style mask a bit so that it can be adjusted somewhat by the wearer. These masks are also constructed with an inside pocket into which the wearer may insert an additional filter. I do not have any wire (pipe cleaner or other craft wire) for the nose piece, but the wearer can easily insert one if desired. Attached is a photo of the one I made for myself (I drew a smile on mine because no one can see a real smile behind a mask). Please contact me if you’d like one. I’ll keep making them until I run out of materials. Email Sharon at
